Who we are

Mission statement

The mission of the Mariachi Sun Foundation is to educate and preserve the art, passion, and the rich tradition that we inherited with our most respected treasure, which is Mexico’s mariachi music. Youth will thrive academically because of the life skills and core values upheld within the Mariachi Sun Foundation programs, concerts, and opportunities.

We wish to bring this to the communities and families residing in the Central California San Joaquin Valley and we want to strengthen our next generations by providing positive influence and encouragement to always be disciplined in life and music.  But most importantly, to never lose the ability to be humble and gracious with everyone.
The Mariachi Sun Foundation under the musical direction of Jesus “Chuy” Guzman, owner and director of grammy award-winning Mariachi Los camperos, gives the Mariachi Sun Foundation the ability to collaborate and be a resource for other Mariachi programs in the valley.
